At UCLH Private Healthcare, our team of consultants and healthcare professionals can diagnose, treat, and support patients with a wide range of cognitive symptoms and cognitive disorders, including people who present with progressive memory loss or memory problems, language problems or changes in behaviour as a result of neurological problems.

We are experts in conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia with Lewy Bodies and frontotemporal dementia. The team also has particular expertise in young onset dementia, atypical dementia and genetic dementia.

Experts in neurological research

Our consultants have close links with the Dementia Research Centre (DRC), which is located in the Department of Neurodegenerative Disease at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology (ION). Working together with the research teams, they form a national centre of excellence for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cognitive problems and are at the forefront of trials and research into the latest treatment options for patients.

Our entire team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is specially trained in the care of patients with neurological problems, bringing high levels of specialist expertise when supporting patients with cognitive disorders.

A multidisciplinary approach to neurological care

We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to care. Neurologists, psychologists, imaging specialists, and speech and language therapists will come together as needed to discuss your personal circumstances and recommend a tailored treatment plan to best support your needs. Our team has close links to Rare Dementia Support (www.raredementiasupport.org); a unique resource for people with frontotemporal dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies and genetic and young onset dementias, which is run at UCLH.
