Professional background
Professor Stuart Taylor was awarded one of the highly prestigious and competitive five year HEFCE senior lecturer posts and was previous recipient of inaugural Royal College of Radiologist (RCR) research fellowship.
He is a past Royal College of Radiologists roentgen professor and currently a NIHR senior investigator. He chairs the national NIHR imaging group and is local academic lead for academic clinical fellows and academic clinical lecturer programme.
Current research interests include the use of MRI and ultrasound in the prediction of histological markers of disease activity in Crohn’s disease, and the utility of quantifying gut motility using MRI. He is currently present of the British Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (BSGAR) and sits on the executive committee on the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR).
He collaborates widely with researchers in statistical methodology, health economics, modelling, and health behaviour. His clinical expertise is in gastrointestinal and oncological imaging.
Research interests
Gastrointestinal Imaging-inflammatory and oncology Functional MRI
