We are delighted to announce that our private maternity ward at University College Hospital, The Fitzrovia Suite, will be undergoing total refurbishment by the end of the year.
The works will be carried out in phases beginning from Monday 23 August, meaning we can still accept patients for private c-sections up until October 5. However, the private ward will then be completely closed until the new year.
The project will include a complete refurbishment of the private postnatal rooms, including new en-suite bathrooms, and the creation of a new reception and waiting area. We are also creating two new dedicated private birthing suites to enable us to offer a private natural delivery service from next year, alongside our C-section service.
"We are thrilled that we are going to be offer such an attractive environment for our new parents, alongside the world-class care we already provide”, said director of UCLH Private Healthcare, Kerensa Heffron. "We hope our lovely new rooms will help to make those first few hours and days as family even more special."
If you have any questions about the refurbishment, or about booking your birth in the Fitzrovia suite over the coming weeks and months, please contact us on uclh.private.enquiries@nhs.net
